In 2019, a special concert was held at the Abdulaziz Theatre to celebrate 120 years of friendshipbetween the British Council and the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters (NCCAL).

The event featured a selection of past compositions by Kuwaiti composer Nawaf Gheraibah, performed with a group of talented local musicians who showcased Kuwait’s evolving musical landscape.

The concert also welcomed the acclaimed UK band 9Bach, creating a distinctive cross-cultural collaboration that blended Kuwaiti and British musical influences on one stage.

It was an evening that honored cultural exchange, artistic unity, and the long-standing relationship between Kuwait and the United Kingdom.
