OPUS I: ORBIS LUNA marked a significant milestone in Kuwait’s classical music scene, presenting an evening of original symphonic and cinematic compositions by Kuwaiti composer and conductor Nawaf Gheraibah. Held on 24 October 2026 at the prestigious Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Centre, the concert was presented with the support of the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters (NCCAL).

The evening brought together the acclaimed Vanguard Symphony Orchestra from Cairo, featuring approximately 75 musicians under Gheraibah’s baton. The programme showcased a collection of his original orchestral works, including Concerto No. 1 for Violin, performed by virtuoso violinist Salma Sorour, and Symphony No. 1 – Hope, alongside a selection of classical and cinematic compositions.

More than a concert, OPUS I: ORBIS LUNA represented the culmination of years of composition, artistic dedication, and a vision to bring original Kuwaiti symphonic music to the international stage. Following its recording in Cairo in January 2026, its live presentation in Kuwait marked another chapter in an evolving artistic journey — from Cairo to Kuwait and beyond.
